The duration of a physical process at a point is measured by means of clock located at the same point. The measurement of a duration of time boils down to the determination of the beginning and end of the measuring process on the scale of another process which is taken as the standard. This is done by reading the clock at the beginning and end of the process, although it is not related in any way to the location of the clock (process) at the point where measurements are made. The results of measurements enable us to compare the durations of processes at different points under the condition that each process occurs at the same point from beginning to end.
